Q. Is this contest open to Microsoft employees?
A. No
 
Q. If I wrote an Azure application before the beginning of the contest may I submit this application?
A. Yes, if you built an Azure application prior to the start of the contest, you may use that application for the contest. Just keep in mind that you cannot have previously submitted or publicly released your application or service. In addition, it cannot have won any previous awards or been submitted in any other competitions.
 
Q. If I live outside the INDIA, may I participate?
A. No. This Contest is open for students and professional developers working out of India only.
 
Q. May I submit more than one entry?
A. No. You may submit more than one entry for each category.
 
Q. Could I be declared the winner of a Grand Prize AND the community voting?
A. Yes. It is possible to be declared the winner of a Grand Prize AND win the public voting.
 
Q. May I vote for my own application?
A. Yes. Voting is restricted to one (1) vote per person.
 
Q. How do I vote?
A. Visit /vote.aspx between Aug. 19 to Oct. 31, 2009 to vote for the entrants and follow the directions provided.
 
Q. What is the deadline to submit my application or service?
A. All entries are due by 5:00pm IST on October 31th.
 
Q. How do I create more awareness for the app I created?
A. 1. Twitter your activities using #newCloudApp.
2. Write about your development experience on your blog.
 
Q. What if I submitted an application or service and it is not available for voting?
A. Only submissions that meet all eligibility criteria within the Official Rules will be available for voting. If your submission is not featured in the voting section and you would like to know why, please send an email to support@thecloudapp.com.
 
Q. Am I allowed to update my application or once voting has started?
A. No updates are allowed to your application or service after the submission.
